Engineer, problem solver and lifelong student of how systems work.

I wrote my first program on an old family laptop in Porto: a text adventure that crashed every time you opened the fridge. I've been chasing that feeling of making something work ever since. After a computer science degree, I joined a small agency and learned to ship quickly for clients in health, finance and retail.

Later, as a senior engineer at a fintech in London, I helped scale a payments platform from thousands to millions of transactions a day. It taught me to care as much about observability, testing and a calm on-call rotation as about clean code.

Today I work independently from Lisbon and take on a few projects at a time. I'm happiest owning a product end to end: modelling the data, designing the API, building the interface and making sure it all stays fast and reliable long after launch.
